Live Updates: Tennessee eyes first road series-victory in game three at Georgia
Tennessee baseball eye sits first series-win on the road this season in what is also the first rubber match of the year Sunday afternoon at Georgia for the 1 pm eastern first pitch.
The Vols (32-15, 12-11 SEC) came up short in game two on Saturday, falling 3-1 to Georgia (26-21, 9-14 SEC). Tennessee’s record on the road in 2023 sits at 2-10, but a win today could go a long way in hopes of hosting a regional at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
Right-hander Drew Beam (6-2, 3.13 ERA) will get the nod in the decisive game on the road for Tennessee while southpaw Liam Sullivan (4-2, 4.73 ERA) will try and win it for the home team. The Vols will return home to take on Austin Peay on Tuesday before hosting Kentucky next weekend.
