SMU is forcing turnovers on defense, and they are scoring points of those turnovers. The Mustangs have made four of their last five shots from the field and have cut the lead down to four. Matt Cross has eight points so far including a couple of made three pointers. With 7:43 remaining in the first half, SMU trails Clemson 26-22.

Clemson made seven of their first eight three point shots. As a result, they hold an early 23-14 lead over the Mustangs. Jaeden Zackery already has nine points for Clemson, all of which came from beyond the arc. SMU needs to find a way to get a couple of stops and get back into this game. There is 11:01 left in the first half.

The visitors knocked down their first four three-pointers to start the game. That’s the Tigers only source of points so far. SMU trails Clemson 12-6 with 15:22 to go in the first half. Mustangs have already turned the ball over three times in the opening 4:38 of game time.
