ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan Wolverines football is hosting its annual spring game Saturday at The Big House. The squads are split into two sides, ‘Blue’ and ‘Maize.’ Defensive coordinator Wink Martindale is leading the blue, while offensive coordinator Kirk Campbell is heading up the maize.

Live updates: Michigan football 2024 spring game
• 1Q, 4:40 — Michigan’s blue team punched in a touchdown with Alex Orji running 18 yards for a score. He faked the ball to Edwards, looked to pass before tucking and running through traffic for the score. Charlie Mentzer made the extra point to put blue up 7-0.
• Donovan Edwards had two nice, hard runs to start the game for the blue team on offense. Quarterback Alex Orji missed an open receiver, but he redeemed himself by hitting Max Bredeson on fourth and short, picking up a first down.
