The Rebels trending for a pair of wide receivers: UTSA transfer Zakhari Franklin and 2024 in-state four-star Noreel White. They have also set themselves up for inarguably one of their strongest Mississippi classes ever.

Here’s a brief excerpt from their extended conversation.
DAVID: My prediction is Ole Miss ultimately lands in the 247Sports/On3 Top 10 team recruiting rankings.
BEN: That’s a bold prediction. I’m looking at their targets for the top players in Mississippi. Even if you just went by the Top 10, if they landed Braylon Burnside, Noreel White, JJ Harrell, Kam Beavers, Jeffrey Rush, Kamarion Franklin and Jamonta Waller, they would have landed seven of the Top 10 (in the state), which is unheard of.
DAVID: It is unheard of. Usually you think it’s going to be a split with Ole Miss and Mississippi State. I don’t think it’s any secret that Mississippi State’s approach to NIL is total different than Ole Miss’ approach. Ole Miss is investing in high-school prospects to get them to play here. I think everybody on both sides of the fence fully understands that.
BEN: Where do you think this Mississippi class ranks as far as all-time depth of talent in the class?
DAVID: I think it rivals, in some ways, the 2016 class that had AJ Brown and DK Metcalf in it. If you really want to know the truth, if you took out the two Mississippi stars, I think (the 2024) class has better potential.
BEN: As far as potential class on National Signing Day, this could be the best.
