Legendary photo shows Clash fans flip off Ricky Stenhouse Jr. after wrecking Burt Myers

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. sure didn’t endear himself to the fans at Bowman Gray Stadium during Sunday’s Last Chance Qualifier for The Clash.
With 13 laps remaining in the 75-lap feature, Stenhouse got into the back of Burt Myers, the 11-time Bowman Gray Stadium Modified Champion. Myers went nose-first into the wall in what was a big hit for the 49-year-old. The Madhouse crowd didn’t appreciate seeing their driver get dumped like that, and made sure to let Stenhouse have it as the red flag came out.
As Stenhouse came to a stop on the racetrack in front of the grandstands, fans treated him to a healthy dose of middle fingers.
The damage was enough to end Myers’ night and keep him from having a shot to advance to the 200-lap Clash later Sunday night.
