Latest seven-round mock draft predicts Buckeyes will tie NFL Draft record for most players selected

COLUMBUS — Ohio State won the national championship back in January thanks to its veteran-laden, ultra-talented roster. The Buckeyes are now expected to fare extremely well in the NFL Draft next week after winning it all.
The program is now projected to tie the NFL Draft record for most players from one school selected in one draft, according to The Athletic NFL Draft expert Dane Brugler. He has 15 Ohio State players selected in his latest mock draft — just a week before the draft kicks off.
The 2024 Michigan team had 13 players selected in last year’s NFL Draft — and just one in the first round — after winning the national championship last year.
Ohio State previously had 14 players selected in the 2004 NFL Draft, 12 players selected in the 2016 NFL Draft and 10 players selected in both the 2020 and 2021 draft.
If the Buckeyes do have 15 players selected, they would tie Georgia in 2022. That Bulldogs team had five first-round picks after winning the national championship in back-to-back seasons. Brugler has two Ohio State players in his first round — wide receiver Emeka Egbuka and left tackle Josh Simmons.
The full list of projected draft picks out of Ohio State from Brugler’s mock draft is here:
First round
29. Washington Commanders: Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
Analysis: It was hard to pass on Donovan Ezeiruaku, who would fill a big need for the Commanders at pass rusher. But the idea of adding a polished receiver such as Egbuka would be an appealing option — and would move Washington one step closer to an all-Ohio State receiving depth chart.
31. Kansas City Chiefs: Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
Analysis: This played out perfectly for the Chiefs. Simmons has the talent to be in the OT1 conversation in this draft class, but a midseason knee injury and a “so-so” interview process, as one scout described it, has put a discount sticker on his report.
Second round
39. Chicago Bears: RB TreVeyon Henderson
44. Dallas Cowboys: RB Quinshon Judkins
46. Atlanta Falcons: DT Tyleik Williams
48. Miami Dolphins: OG/OT Donovan Jackson
60. Detroit Lions: DE J.T. Tuimoloau
Third round
72. Chicago Bears: DE Jack Sawyer
78. Arizona Cardinals: DT Ty Hamilton
Fourth round
134. Philadelphia Eagles: SAF Lathan Ransom
Fifth round
143. Las Vegas Raiders: QB Will Howard
164. Philadelphia Eagles: CB Denzel Burke
169. Buffalo Bills: C Seth McLaughlin
Sixth round
204. Dallas Cowboys: LB Cody Simon
211. Dallas Cowboys: DB Jordan Hancock
