Kyle Busch wishes son Brexton a happy 8th birthday

Kyle Busch wishes son Brexton a happy 8th birthday

Growing up happens fast when you’re doing it in race cars week in and week out. Kyle Busch’s son Brexton just turned 8 years old! It wasn’t long ago that Brexton was just a baby in Victory Lane as his dad drove in NASCAR for Joe Gibbs Racing. Now he’s moving up the ranks on his own as his dad makes the move to Richard Childress Racing.

This year has been a pretty big deal for Brexton Busch. The young racer moved up to Bandolero cars for the first time. He also visited the old family stomping grounds at the Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He is now the third generation of Busch to race there.

As for Kyle Busch, he’s driving all around, racing when he can, being crew chief for his son, and more. The Busch family usually celebrates birthdays at the race track. This year has been no different.

The entire family celebrated a couple of days ago as Brexton prepped for another race.

Do we think I’ll be taller than @SamanthaBusch next year? https://t.co/5tQqhPYoob

Kyle Busch made sure he gave his little guy a shoutout on the real day, though. Before long, we’ll be calling B-Rex, B-Rowdy as he continues to move up the ranks of auto racing.

Watch some of Kyle’s favorite clips from his son’s childhood so far. There is a lot of driving involved to no one’s surprise.

Happy 8th birthday to my main man @brextonbusch. U make me proud on the track but even more off the track. Being ur dad is one of my greatest joys. Hope u have the best day! pic.twitter.com/EfCYRL3fsw

Kyle Busch skipped North Wilkesboro late model races

There were a lot of guys that found themselves racing on Wednesday night in late model races at North Wilkesboro. Kyle Busch was not among them. While Cup Series drivers got shown up on the short track by CARS Tour and ASA drivers, Rowdy was out there getting a win in a sprint car.

Some drivers prep for races in their own way. Busch might not be too worried about picking up an All-Star Race win. So why take extra time to prep for it? Maybe he’s more focused on honing his overall racing skills and getting into some fast action on a dirt track in a winged sprint car.

Busch went over to Millbridge Speedway and played in the dirt. He “parked it” last night on Wednesday right in Victory Lane.

Will this help Kyle Busch win the All-Star Race? Who knows, but it will probably help him be a better overall driver. And he got the win, so it makes it even better.
