Kyle Busch airs out frustration after oil leak on pit road sends him to rear of grid at Pocono
The bad news just keeps piling on for Kyle Busch and the No. 8 Richard Childress Racing team. You can’t make this stuff up. While on the grid awaiting today’s NASCAR race, Busch’s car began to leak oil.
Kyle Busch started practice on Saturday with a steering issue. Then his team fixed that. However, his team couldn’t put more speed into the car. Now there are further issues.
Call it bad luck, poor preparation, gremlins, whatever – it isn’t good. Busch’s car was seen leaking oil on the grid and had to be taken back to the garage for repairs. The entire underbody had to come off of the car.
Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports posted a photo of the crew working on the car on X.com, formerly known as Twitter.
Kyle Busch voiced his frustrations to Parker Kligerman after the fact with the NBC Sports broadcast.
“Yeah, no question, I mean, definitely,” Busch said about his struggles this season. “I don’t think you and hem and haw or dance around that answer of that question because it is frustrating, but um, there’s a process here, and you know, there’s a big circle of success that’s happened in this sport. There’s guys at the top. Then guys at the bottom. They circle back around to the top. I was at the top for a long, long time, and felt really, really good to be there.
“So, now just in a different realm and trying to figure out how to, how to climb that. It’s way easier to fall than it is to crawl back up. So, we’ll just keep figuring out what those ways are.”
This is a developing story…
