Kenny Brooks and Kentucky are still searching for their first commitment in the 2025 class, and Kaelyn Carroll may wound up being just that.

The five-star wing told On3’s Talia Goodman that she is now focusing on just seven schools in her recruitment. Those schools? Villanova, Minnesota, Florida State, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia Tech and Kentucky.

Top 2025 recruit Kaelyn Carroll has taken and set several official visits this Fall. She told @On3sports those are the programs she’s focused on right now.

Brooks has recruited Carroll for a long time — an advantage he has over several of the programs left in this recruitment. Of course, the home-state school is always a threat, and that’s no different here. Keep an eye on Minnesota down the stretch.

If there’s one thing that Carroll is looking for, it’s a good head coach who she can have a strong relationship with. Brooks can certainly be that.

“It’s been great,” Carroll told Goodman. “They’re super awesome. They were recruiting me at Virginia Tech – Coach [Kenny] Brooks was, so once he switched over to Kentucky, he just kept up the conversations.”
