Kentucky WBB guard Tanah Becker plans to enter the transfer portal

When Tanah Becker committed to Kentucky, it was originally under a new coach. However, she stuck it out for a year under Kenny Brooks, but a year is all it would be.
On Tuesday, a source told KSR that the 6-foot-1 guard planned on entering her name into the transfer portal. She averaged 1.8 points per game this season after appearing in just four games.
Before she arrived at Kentucky, she was a key contributor for the 16U Canadian National Team and is even a 2x Canadian All-Star in the WNBA Without Borders camp. On top of that, she was selected to the All-Canada Games team in 2022-23 and 2023-24. That’s basically the Canadian equivalent of being a McDonald’s All-American, but twice. She was also named the MVP of the NBA Global Academy in 2022-23.
Things just didn’t work out for her at Kentucky, but with her shooting ability and defensive prowess on the perimeter, she could be a solid contributor at a different program. She certainly has the potential to go shine elsewhere.

With Becker’s departure, there are now six open scholarships to potentially be filled. She is the third player to make the decision to transfer out of Kentucky.
