Kentucky transfer target Steven Curtis commits to Minnesota
Kentucky landed two front seven recruiting wins in the transfer portal on Saturday when USC EDGE Sam Greene and Marshall linebacker Landyn Watson committed to the Wildcats following their official visits to Lexington. But another target came off the board on Sunday.
Illinois State defensive line transfer Steven Curtis was tentatively scheduled to visit Kentucky from Dec. 18-19. That visit will not happen after the South Florida native committed to Minnesota after his official visit to see P.J. Fleck‘s Big Ten program.
Cincinnati and Boston College also had visits locked in with Steven Curtis. Those visits likely do not happen now. Curtis finished his true sophomore season at Illinois State with 46 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and 18 pressures in 630 snaps.
Kentucky will not move to another week in the transfer portal where multiple visits at the Joe Craft Football Training Facility are expected. Expect the Wildcats to continue to add transfers to the roster but many of these recruitments will end after early visits are made.
