Kentucky hosting ’25 stars Cameron and Cayden Boozer on official visits

Remember when John Calipari quoted Lil Wayne lyrics this offseason to describe the current state of the Kentucky basketball program? “(He) said to me — if you don’t mind me dropping a name — ‘I like how you just keep it in-house, what you do. It’s like my lyric, ‘Real G’s stay silent like lasagna.’”

Exhibit A:  Cameron and Cayden Boozer — Nos. 1 and 15 in the 2025 recruiting class and twin sons of Carlos Boozer — are currently in Lexington for an official visit, multiple sources tell KSR.

Kentucky got the first official for the junior standouts, who also hold offers from the likes of Duke, Florida and Miami (FL), among others.

Travis Branham of 247Sports was the first to break the news.

The Boozers previously told KSR that their individual recruitments were wide open and the two could play together or potentially at different schools.

“I don’t have to stress it (with schools recruiting me), it’s a known thing (I’m wide open),” Cameron told KSR. “Whatever school wants me and pushes for me, if I see a good fit, that’s where I’m going to go.”

“It would be a blessing to go with him,” Cayden said of playing in college with Cam. “It could happen, but I’m not really sure if it’s going to happen. We’ve got to see if it’s the best fit for both of us.”

Among those pushing the hardest for both blue-chip prospects? You guessed it, the University of Kentucky, who extended offers to the Boozers back in May.

“Obviously it’s a great program all-time, always have great players and successful players in the NBA. It’s a good school that knows how to develop their players for the next level,” Cameron told KSR.

“It was great (receiving an offer). I’ve been watching Kentucky since I was young,” Cayden added. “They’re always in the tournament. Having a school like Kentucky offer me, a school that’s a winning program, it’s a great feeling for sure.”

Can the Wildcats pull off commitments for the twin sons of a former NBA All-Star — one who starred at Duke of all places? John Calipari, Orlando Antigua, Chin Coleman and Chuck Martin are getting the first shot.
