Kentucky athlete Easton Jointer talks early recruitment
2026 South Warren (Ky.) athlete Easton Jointer is just getting started in his recruitment after a standout Freshman season on the gridiron. Several schools have stopped by to check on him during the evaluation period as well. He discussed the early stages of recruitment with Volquest.
“It is just now starting for me, but I have had some schools stop by to see me,” Jointer told Volquest of where things are early on for him. “Tennessee, UK, and Louisville are real big because it is all right there in the state. It is fresh to me a lot.”
Jointer is still awaiting his first offer from a Division 1 program, but it seems like just a matter of time until it comes in. As he has made visits to college campuses, he has heard plenty of positives about his game.
“I am willing to hit and get physical,” he said of this. “I may not be the fastest but I love contact. Right now they are looking at me for safety, but if I was to hit another growth spurt then probably safety or the nickel position.”
A lot of the same things Jointer is being told by college coaches run along the same lines of what he believes he does well.
I think like I said I am physical,” Jointer told Volquest. “I see things a lot better, but also I need to work on my speed, and I am training on that everyday to get better.”
This summer as camp season begins, Jointer knows he will spend time at Tennessee, Kentucky, and Louisville looking to an offer. He has already visited Tennessee multiple times in the past.
