Kentucky analyst Bryan Berezowitz leaves for Tulane
Former Kentucky linebacker and assistant Jon Sumrall is returning for a second year at Tulane in 2025 after being involved in North Carolina’s head coach search. The 42-year-old has led two Troy teams and his only Tulane squad to a conference championship game each season. Sumrall is 32-9 through three seasons as a head coach and projects to be a popular candidate when the coaching carousel gets spinning again in December.
All of that success has occurred with some former Kentucky personnel on staff.
Offensive line coach Evan McKissack was a graduate assistant at Kentucky from 2017-19. The offensive line coach just led one of the best units in college football at Tulane last fall. Former walk-on and graduate assistant Brayden Berezowitz was a graduate assistant at Kentucky before following Sumrall to Troy and Tulane in support staff roles.
Now he will be joined by his brother in New Orleans.
Bryan Berezowitz is a former walk-on who spent the last eight seasons at Kentucky in a coaching role. The last four came as a quality control/defensive analyst. Berezowitz will fill a similar role at Tulane.
Jon Sumrall’s second Tulane staff will have some more Kentucky flavor.
