Karson Sharar looking to make his mark on Iowa’s defense

The climb up the depth chart continues to Karson Sharar. The sophomore Hawkeye linebacker has made his way on to the two deeps, but a minor injury kept him off the field for part of spring football. But, the Iowa Falls native is hopeful that he can have an impact on the field this fall.

He spoke to the media after the end of spring ball about how the linebacker room is significantly different without leaders like Jack Campbell and Seth Benson. He talks about how Jay Higgins has stepped up his leadership role this spring and how he performed this spring and what the overall view was of the Iowa defense from his perspective.
