Joel Klatt reacts to impressive Cornhuskers crowd video vs. Colorado: ‘I don’t think people are ready’
Joel Klatt is ready for Nebraska to return to its glory days when it was one of the rowdiest road environments in college football. Based on what we saw Saturday against Colorado, that time might have already arrived.
Video went viral on social media of the crowd at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln getting hyped up during the game. There was also a light show and fireworks in what looked like a community excited about what the second year under coach Matt Rhule has in store.
Klatt took to X to offer his thoughts on the Cornhuskers fans and how they showed out for the primetime matchup against the Buffaloes. He recalled his own experience playing in Nebraska in the early and mid-2000s, saying the rest of the country better be prepared for that to return.
I don’t think people are ready for Nebraska to be Nebraska again,” the FOX Sports analyst wrote. “Played there twice…If they actually get this thing going………Laawwwd!!!!!!”

Nebraska would dominate the game against Colorado from start to finish as it went on to win 28-10. The Cornhuskers led 28-0 before the Buffaloes finally got on the board with a field goal to start the second half.
The defense forced a pair of turnovers while running back Dante Dowdell had 74 yards and two touchdowns. Nebraska improved to 2-0 on the young season, marking their best start since the 2016 season season.
That was also the last year that the Cornhuskers made a bowl game, something that seems well within reach this year. Of course, their goals are a lot higher than that give the history of the program, which has five national championships. It certainly seems like the fans in Lincoln have already bought in.
Nebraska has another home game this week as it hosts Northern Iowa at 6:30 p.m. CT on Saturday.
