Jesse Love to make Cup Series debut at Bristol with Richard Childress Racing

Fresh off the news that Austin Hill will return to the NASCAR Cup Series, Richard Childress Racing has announced Jesse Love’s debut. Love is set to take over the No. 33 car at Bristol Motor Speedway next month.

Jesse Loveis one of the bright young stars in NASCAR. An ARCA West and ARCA national series champion, Love has quickly climbed the ranks. At 20 years old, Love will make his Cup Series debut with the historic Richard Childress Racing.

This kid might be good enough that he forces RCR’s hand eventually. You aren’t going to keep him out of the Cup Series full-time for long.

In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Jesse Love has turned plenty of heads. He has two wins, 23 top-10s, and six pole awards in only 39 starts. Just barely over a season. There is no wondering why RCR is moving him up to a part-time Cup schedule already.

Austin Hill will drive the No. 33 car five times this season. It is still undetermined how many races Love will have in 2025.

“Racing in the Cup Series has always been my main goal and dream,” said Love. “Everything that I have done up to this point in my career has been building to this moment. To make my Cup Series debut at this age is very special, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to make it with RCR. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms over the last year and the organization feels like family.”

So, it’s Bristol, baby! Love is going to have a challenging race for his Cup debut. Bristol is a tough track to drop in and do well at in a new series and new car.

Jesse Love set to make Cup Series debut

It wasn’t long ago that Jesse Love was asked about his Cup Series debut. In a media availability, media tried to get him to spill the beans. However, Love kept his cards close to his chest. He did have some interesting views on how you determine where to make your Cup debut.

Earlier this month at Phoenix, Love gave a funny answer to the question. Well, now we know the answer. Bristol.

“I forgot what they told me to say when people ask me this,” Love said, causing laughs in the media center. “Well, I’m glad you think I’m ready. That’s a compliment I’m very flattered but absolutely. Me and Connor [Zilisch] talked about where we’d want to one day make our Cup starts and stuff like that and more Cup races. Obviously, I want to go to places that I’m good at, but I also know that I have to go to places where I need to learn stuff, too.”
