Jerry Jones clarifies reasoning for Tuesday radio rant, doubles down on ripping hosts

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke further about his comments on a Tuesday morning call in on to 105.3 The Fan in Dallas — the flagship radio station of the Cowboys — and attempted to clarify his ire, according to The Athletic’s Diana Russini.

Jones, calling in to 105.3 as he often does, took issue with the hosts pressing him about the Cowboys seemingly sitting back and not be aggressive in adding talent during the offseason. Jones got into a back and forth and eventually started to get audibly frustrated with the hosts, whose jobs he went on to threaten.

In speaking with Russini, Jones apparently didn’t back off on 105.3 not being the place for such inquiries.

“Just spoke to Jerry Jones about this incident,” Russini said on social media, adding her tidbits to a posted link of a story about Jones’ radio tirade. “He said he doesn’t mind the questions, it’s the type of questions coming from the flagship station. More to come.”
