Jayden Jackson to announce decision July 13
One of the top defensive targets on the board in the 2024 cycle is set to announce his decision in seven days.

Defensive tackle Jayden Jackson announced via Twitter that he plans to announce his commitment July 13.
Jackson made five official visits in June with the Longhorns getting the last word.
The 6-foot-1, 295-pound quick and powerful lineman made an official visit to Florida June 2-4, Ohio State June 9-11, Miami June 16-18 and Oklahoma June 21-22 prior Texas.
Coming out of the Texas visit, Inside Texas was confident in reporting Texas, Ohio State and Oklahoma were considered the top three schools. Miami and Florida have remained in the mix.
Jackson and family have had contact multiple times with members of the Texas staff since the visit. He has remained in regular communication with Bo Davis.

Ohio State has led in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for months. Along with being on campus in Columbus multiple times over the years, he has a close relationship with Buckeyes defensive line coach Larry Johnson.
Two of Jackson’s teammates at IMG Academy are committed to Texas. Four-stars Jerrick Gibson and Jordon Johnson-Rubell committed to Steve Sarkisian and staff on June 24 and July 1, respectively.

Inside Texas caught up with Jackson at Bergstrom Airport prior to heading home June 25.
“There’s something different here,” Jackson said about Texas when discussing his thoughts on the official visit process which has taken him to Oklahoma, Miami and Ohio State, as well as Texas.
What stood out about his visit to Austin?
“The connection is just different. With Coach Davis and Coach Sark, it feels like it’s more than just about football.”
The Brownsburg, Ind. native is an On3 Industry Ranking 3-star prospect ranked No. 551 overall in the country. He’s the No. 50th ranked defensive lineman in the cycle.
