Jaxson Robinson injury update: Mark Pope reveals crushing news on Kentucky guard’s future

Saturday has gone from bad to worse for Big Blue Nation. After losing big to Auburn inside Rupp Arena, Kentucky head coach Mark Pope revealed Jaxson Robinson will be out for the rest of the season. Robinson has not been playing due to a wrist injury and his long-term health was in question.

Unfortunately, Pope gave the news nobody inside the program was hoping for as they are opting for surgery. Robinson does not have a path to play in the NCAA Tournament, looking closer to the summer for a full recovery.

“Kind of came to the conclusion last night that he’s going to get surgery,” Pope said. “So he’s going Wednesday to the world’s specialist to have surgery on his wrist… We kind of knew he was going to need surgery, he just wanted so badly to play that he rehabbed it and had an injection to try to make it functional.”
