New Haven (Ind.) five-star wide receiver Mylan Graham announced his commitment to Ohio State on April 4. Despite a pledge to the Buckeyes, multiple schools are still in pursuit of Graham, including Alabama, Miami, Purdue and Tennessee.
Graham saw the Hurricanes on May 13 and plans to “probably” take official visits in the fall. At the moment, it will be hard to get the 6-foot-0.5, 170-pound wideout to change his mind about Ohio State.
“I’m still pretty solidly committed to Ohio State and the reason why I chose Ohio State was because of coach (Brian) Hartline,” Graham told On3’s Chad Simmons at the On3 NIL Elite Series presented by Mizuno. “It speaks for itself what he does with receivers. He puts them in the first round every single year, it feels like, and he does it so effortlessly. The offense that they do at Ohio State with coach Ryan Day, it just makes the most sense for me.”
Graham considers Ohio State ‘Wide Receiver U’ because of the Buckeyes’ production at the position and development of players for the National Football League. That is one reason he is feeling good about his pledge to the program.
“It’d be really tough, but what they’ll have to do is they will have to show me on-field production,” Graham, the No. 13 overall prospect and No. 4 wide receiver in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking, said about flipping to another school. “They would have to show me that they’re actually changing the culture and they’re starting to win games and that their offense is starting to produce.”

Graham discusses four other schools of interest
When Graham arrived in Miami earlier this month, he did not have high interest in the Hurricanes. However, head coach Mario Cristobal and his staff quickly caught his attention.
Graham liked the environment around Miami’s campus, as well as the city. He has told the Hurricanes’ coaches that he may come back to Coral Gables for a visit.
“I’m thinking about doing an OV with them because when I went down there, I felt the vibe a lot with coach Cristobal and coach (Kevin) Beard,” Graham said. “They really showed that they still have heavy interest in me.”
Graham also discussed his interest in Alabama, Purdue and Tennessee.
Alabama: “The receivers they’ve had in the past few years like Devonta Smith, Jaylen Waddle, Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III is impressive. It’s Bama. They’re known for dominating and winning games a lot at a high level. Nick Saban is the head of college football. I feel like I’d loved to be coached by him every day and get better.”
Purdue: “Coach Ryan Walters and coach (Cory) Patterson came from Illinois and ever since they came, they’ve been on me real hard. They’ve emphasized that I’d be their guy, as soon as I stepped on campus day one of my freshman year. They said that I’d get a lot of love from the fanbase because I’m an in-state kid and I could break records at that school.”
Tennessee: “They play fast. I love their fast-paced offense. They spread their receivers out, get their playmakers the ball. Receivers eat in that offense. They have coach (Kelsey) Pope and coach (Josh) Heupel. They’re real good guys and I like the staff a lot.”
