Irish QB commit Deuce Knight says it was great being back inside Notre Dame Stadium

Notre Dame quarterback commit Deuce Knight was back on the Irish campus this weekend for the program’s spring game. He got back around head coach Marcus Freeman, quarterbacks coach Gino Guidugli and the staff, spent time around a lot of the other commits and soaked in the atmosphere.

“It was great being back in Notre Dame Stadium,” Knight said. “The fans showed a lot of love and I got to hang with the guys.”

Knight sees the development of the passers under Guidugli and how he and new offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock put the signal-callers in best position to perform.

“My biggest takeaway from the game was how well all three quarterbacks played,” Knight said. “I feel like that shows you how much the quarterback room prepares and how much Coach Gino prepares them and develops them to be ready for game situations.”

On3 ranks Knight as the nation’s No. 6 quarterback and No. 54 prospect overall. He is one of the jewels of an Irish class that ranks No. 5 nationally.

This was Knight’s second time on campus this spring as he also visited for a few days in March.
