Inside Scoop – Part II: Intel from more 2025 prospects following Texas’ Elite Camp

Inside Scoop – Part II: Intel from more 2025 prospects following Texas’ Elite Camp

After the wildly popular Part I of the Inside Scoop this morning, the Inside Texas staff delivers more intel on top 2025 prospects who attended Texas’ Elite Camp in this Scoop sequel.

Michael Fasusi, OL, Lewisville (Texas) – 2025

The On3 Industry Ranking’s No. 8 offensive tackle made a return trip to Austin for a full weekend unofficial visit. Fasusi arrived on Friday and stayed through Sunday, hanging with Texas players like Neto Umeozulu and others.

Fasusi sees Texas as a brotherhood and loves the culture and environment. He’s clicking with Kyle Flood more and more as well. Texas probably leads at this stage, but it’s early.

Inside Texas was told the 6-foot-4, 287-pounder loves the Longhorns, but doesn’t want to rush the process too much. Fasusi is set to be back in Austin for one of the UT games this fall.

The Horns look fantastic here for one of the state’s top prospects in 2025.

Santana Wilson, DB, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain – 2025

Wilson will take an official visit to Austin in mid-June. He announced his top eight schools on Sunday: Arizona StateBaylorMiamiOklahomaTennesseeTexasTexas A&M and Washington made the cut.

“All these schools that I picked are really high defensive schools, so I really took the time to talk to all the coaches and see the depth in their schools, see how many corners they currently have and how many they’re losing and how many they produce,” Wilson told On3. “I took the time to do all that and see where I can develop and grow as a person and as a player.”

Wilson has set official visits to Arizona State (June 9-11), Texas (June 16-18) and Washington (June 23-25).

Arizona State is thought to be the team to beat in this recruitment. His Texas official trip looms large.

Javon Holiday, S, Duncanville (Texas) – 2025

It’s beginning to look like Holiday and teammate Dakorien Moore could potentially play at the next level together. It’s definitely early, but Holiday loved his Austin trip with Moore on Saturday and Sunday.

Holiday sees himself as a natural fit at safety in UT’s defense, he told Inside Texas. The 6-foot-1, 180-pound On3 three-star holds offers from Texas, LSU, Texas A&M, Arizona State, SMU, and North Texas.

Kamauryn Morgan, DE/EDGE, Red Oak (Texas) – 2025

Texas loves the fertile recruiting grounds at Red Oak, and Morgan might be one of the best to come from the DFW suburb.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound On3 four-star tripped to Austin with teammates Taz Williams and Brayden Robinson on Saturday. Even though he didn’t compete at the Elite Camp, he had a blast and enjoyed watching the defensive coaches coach and the pool party.

Morgan has garnered a ton of interest on the trail, with offers from Georgia, Washington, Oregon, Florida, Miami, and Auburn.

Texas jumped into the recruitment this Spring and has been building the connection. Morgan will return for a UT game this fall.

Michael Riles, DE, Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial – 2025

The cousin of Texas safety/nickel Jaylon Guilbeau, the Golden Triangle product made his first trip to Austin on Saturday. It was better than he expected, he told Inside Texas.

At 6-foot-3, and 235 pounds, Riles is On3’s No. 8 defensive lineman in the Class of 2025 with offers from Texas, USC, Texas A&M, Washington, Texas Tech, and Central Florida among others.

Riles loves Bo Davis and Pete Kwaitkowski, but the vibe and culture stood out the most on this visit.

Guilbeau speaks often with Riles about the environment and opportunities awaiting in Austin, and Riles is listening.

Xavier Ukponu, DE, Denton (Texas) Guyer – 2025

At first sight, it appears Ukponu is growing. At 6-foot-2, 280 pounds, the rising defensive lineman attended UT’s Junior Day early this Spring and found a place that really caught his attention.

With offers from Texas, Oklahoma, Miami, California, and Texas A&M, Ukponu loves the atmosphere and vibe within the Texas football program. He also loved the instruction he learned from Bo Davis and wants to apply it to his game entering his junior campaign.

Zion Williams, DL, Lufkin (Texas) – 2025

The East Texas product made it back to Austin for another unofficial on Saturday.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder holds offers from Texas, Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Baylor, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech, but Austin has his attention right now.

“It was good,” Williams told Inside Texas about his latest stop at Texas. “We worked on hip explosion and hands during one-on-one drills with coach Bo. Bo was the best coach and guy during the trip.”

It’s early, but Texas will go large in numbers with D-linemen in the 2025 cycle. Williams is trending Texas at this stage.

Kane Bowen, LB, Sherman (Texas) – 2025

He might be listed at running back by On3, but the 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect will play inside linebacker at the next level, he told Inside Texas,

The Texas offer is relatively new for Bowen, but after working with UT linebackers coach Jeff Choate, the Horns have separated themselves from the pack at this stage.

He loved competing at the Elite Camp and really wants to return for a game this fall.

Sam Houston State is his only other offer and that’ll change over the next six months.

Ed Small, WR, Austin (Texas) Anderson – 2025

Small is committed to Texas for baseball for his ability at the plate and as an outfielder, but football could be an option for the local product.

Small camped at Texas as a wide receiver over the weekend, working out of the slot at the portion of the camp reserved for Texas’ priority prospects. He also had some personal time with Steve Sarkisian, who is aware of the local product’s athletic ability. Small caught 60 passes for 1164 yards and 15 touchdowns for the Trojans in 2022.

There’s no rush to determine if Small will be a two-sport athlete at Texas. With David Pierce’s team still in the midst of a postseason run, the Small family understands there’s no need to make an immediate determination about Ed’s future at Texas. Sarkisian and JM Jones, an assistant director of player personnel who has a major role in recruiting walk-ons, have both communicated with Small in recent months. Plus, the football and baseball programs work well together when recruiting two-sport athletes.

An Anderson connection exists with someone on the current team as walk-on running back Collin Page and Ed are close.

Regardless of whether Ed focuses on baseball only or makes an effort at being a two-sport athlete, one thing is certain according to his father Clint: Ed will be a Longhorn student-athlete.

Jadyn Robinson, WR, Long Beach (Calif.) Poly – 2025

Robinson, who had 48 catches for 574 yards and nine touchdowns for the Los Angeles area program, ventured back to the Forty Acres after receiving his offer in May. He enjoyed his camp experience and his one-on-one opportunities after traveling all the way from California.

Jackson’s coaching acumen stood out to Robinson, and his ability to teach on the fly was something that resonated. Robinson didn’t get a chance to talk much with Steve Sarkisian, but there’s a longstanding relationship with Robinson and the Texas head coach.

Away from the camp, facilities stood out to Robinson. The last time he was able to see Texas in 2021, most of the SEZ was under construction. He was blown away by what he saw when he got to step foot inside the completed complex.

Robinson said Texas is near the top of his list along with his other top schools.

Robinson is the No. 424 overall prospect, the No. 60 wide receiver, and the No. 46 player in California in the 2025 On3 Industry Ranking. Texas has a considerable lead over Utah in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine with a 54 percent likelihood to land Robinson.
