Indianapolis 4-star CB Mark Zackery “surprised” after getting new USC offer

Class of 2025 Indianapolis (Ind.) Ben Davis four-star cornerback Mark Zackery is a recent offer for USC.

Zackery is the No. 202 overall prospect and No. 21 cornerback in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 7 player in Texas.

USC joins an offer list that includes Notre Dame, Penn State, Texas A&M, Purdue, Indiana, Cincinnati, and others.

I exchanged some messages with Zackery about the offer. He tells me is was honestly a surprise to get an offer from the Trojans but he is excited about the opportunity.

“It feels great getting an offer from a high caliber school like USC,” Zackery said.

“I was honestly surprised by them to come from the west coast but it’s always a blessing. I’m interested to see how my relationship improves with those guys!”

Zackery told me it was USC outside linebackers coach Roy Manning that made the contact with him and extended the offer.

It makes sense he was a bit surprised by the offer. It appears USC is the first school on the west coast to offer.

The 6-foot, 155-pounder holds several 23 total offers and the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Purdue as the favorite to land a commitment from Zackery at 30.2%.
