In-state WR Bryce Cain camps at Auburn, announcing commitment next week

In-state WR Bryce Cain camps at Auburn, announcing commitment next week

Bryce Cain has seen and heard enough. The in-state wide receiver from Baker in Mobile will announce his commitment sometime next week.

“I will be choosing either Ole Miss or Auburn,” Cain said.

Cain visited both schools and camped at both schools in the past week. He was in Oxford on June 2 and then camped and visited Auburn on June 9.

He has several reasons for having the two schools as his finalists.

“With Ole Miss, they have really good talent up there,” he said. “They have really good coaches that came from the NFL level. It’s pretty good up there.

“With Auburn, I enjoyed camp (on Saturday). I think I performed great. It could be a touchdown for me. I think (me and Walker White) already have the chemistry down. I love it (at Auburn).”

Cain spent a lot of time with Auburn wide receivers coach Marcus Davis. The two worked together during camp and then talked afterwards.

“Coach (Marcus) Davis is a really good coach,” Cain said. “I think he can develop any player on that field. I feel like he can develop people for the next level, to the NFL. As a person, he’s a great guy. His personality is top tier. I love him.”

Top recruits, including 5 4-stars, Cain, expected to officially visit Auburn this weekend

Auburn football is expected to play host to at least seven top recruits on official visits this coming weekend (June 9-11).

Five of the seven visitors are ranked four-star recruits, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, an industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

The headliner of the group is four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick, a Georgia commitment who is ranked the No. 38 overall recruit in the country. Expected to join him in Auburn are four-star cornerback Jalyn Crawford, four-star running back Daniel Hill, four-star offensive lineman Caleb Holmes, four-star defensive back Kensley Faustin, three-star Cain and unranked-but-top-offensive-tackle target Coen Echols.

The six recruits are expected to arrive either on Friday or Saturday and stay until either Sunday or Monday.
