How to watch No. 15 Ole Miss at No. 13 Alabama in SEC opener

All the preparation is complete and the non-conference work is done for No. 15 Ole Miss as it travels to Tuscaloosa this weekend for its conference opener at No. 13 Alabama.

This weekend is still has a big-game feel between the Rebels (3-0) and Crimson Tide (2-1) but there is a little luster fading on the armor of the home team. Alabama is coming into this weekend’s marquee matchup limping a little after suffering a loss to Texas two weeks ago followed by an uninspiring 17-3 win over South Florida in Tampa last Saturday.

After playing each other in a rare November meeting last season the Rebels catch the Crimson Tide early in the year as the latter is trying to regain its identity. Alabama head coach Nick Saban started to create some stability on Monday when he named Jalen Milroe as the starting quarterback for this weekend.

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin started the week off with some strong comments regarding Alabama defensive coordinator Kevin Steele and who he thinks is really calling the plays on that side of the ball.

Despite lobbing a figurative grenade into the mix Kiffin did speak on the respect he has for Saban during his weekly press conference on Monday.

“I think that sometimes with time those things happen, that you continue to be appreciative for the opportunity that he gave,” Kiffin said. “Not only that. People give people opportunities all the time, but also the things that I learned from him, defensively. The things I learned from him are organization and discipline. I’m extremely grateful to him and he really helped me at a really challenging time in my life. They kind of say sometimes, ‘You don’t really figure out yourself until you’re torn down and have to rebuild yourself.’ I’m grateful for him being part of that process.”
