Hot & Ready: Michigan planning to stop by school of Top 100 QB
The third edition of the Hot & Ready recruiting feature dives into Michigan expected to be at the school of a priority quarterback target in the 2025 class next month, following a fascinating development, as well as the Wolverines making the final cut of a 2024 linebacker’s offer sheet.
Will Michigan earn an official visit from Cutter Boley?
The NCAA granted 2025 Lexington (Ky.) Christian Academy four-star quarterback Cutter Boley an official visit to Kentucky on June 9th. How this is possible is because of the fact that Boley is academically a junior so reclassifying is an option.
Boley also stated in an interview with On3’s Jacob Polacheck that a timetable for a verbal commitment might take place after more official visits possibly get arranged. Penn State, Florida State, Michigan and others are in consideration to get the four available. Right now, there are two On3 Predictions for Kentucky to keep Boley home.
If Boley stays the course and graduates in 2025, then he’ll remain in that select group of quarterbacks alongside five-star Bryce Underwood, four-star Ryan Montgomery and four-star Stone Saunders who are heavily perused by Michigan and Kirk Campbell. But if he does reclassify, that’s where things get interesting.
The Wolverine has learned that Campbell is planning to travel to Christian Academy during the second week of May to go over plans in case Boley moves up a class. Remember that Boley told EJ Holland on Sunday that he will return to Ann Arbor for an official visit if Michigan grants him the opportunity and doesn’t care if Top 100 quarterback commit Jadyn Davis is already onboard.
If Boley indeeds change his standing to 2024, it puts Michigan in a complicated situation. Of course, that’s a full year wiped away in terms of growing the relationship and building off of Boley’s four total unofficial visits to campus But for a talent like Boley, exceptions must be made for him to be a take this cycle and let the 6-foot-5 gunslinger and Davis compete for the starting job.
Recent visitor releases Top 5 list
Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic three-star linebacker Cole Sullivan announced a top five on Saturday that featured Michigan, Notre Dame, Stanford, Duke and Wisconsin.
The Wolverines hosted Sullivan for a pair of unofficial visits during the month of March in which he checked out two spring practices. He was formally offered by head coach Jim Harbaugh personally in early February and has wasted little time with exploring the football facilities and campus.
So far, Sullivan has scheduled one official visit for June 9th to Notre Dame, who holds a commanding lead to land the No. 10 ranked junior prospect in the state of Pennsylvania, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) with Blue & Gold’s Kyle Kelly placing a prediction in March.
Figuring out how much of a priority Sullivan will be for Michigan in the 2024 class depends on the respective decisions of both Aaron Chiles and Jeremiah Beasley. If the pair of four stars elect not to sign with the Wolverines, then Sullivan is undoubtedly in the next tier of options.
