Highly-recruited 2025 guard Brandie Harrod narrows list to 9 schools
Top 2025 recruit Brandie Harrod narrowed her list to nine finalists, she told On3. Harrod is now only considering Mississippi State, Auburn, Clemson, Colorado, Georgia, Utah, Oklahoma State, Florida State and Kansas State.
“I’m definitely a good defensive player,” Harrod said. “I’ll get down, get a bucket and then get right back on defense. I’m a fast-paced type of player. Before I go to college, I want to get my 3-point shot more consistent.”
Brandie Harrod, a 6-foot guard from Oklahoma City (Oklahoma) Millwood High School has visited Oklahoma State and Kansas State so far, but she told On3 that she has visits set to Auburn (Aug. 30-Sept.1), Utah (Sept. 6-8), Georgia (Sept. 13-15), Florida State (Sept. 20-23) and K-State (Sept. 27-29). She’s in the process of scheduling other visits with the remaining programs.
“It’s how they communicate with my family,” Brandie Harrod said. “Whenever I go to their practices, how they run practice and talk to their players and what kind of play style they run. I like to play fast, shoot threes and get layups in transition.”

Mississippi State
“They’re one of my newest offers, but there’s a lot of interest there. They’re telling me a lot of good things about their school and what they see in me and what I’d look like in the future with them. I really like how they’re talking with me and how they’re treating me and my family so far in this process.”
Auburn
“They’re pretty new to me too, but they’re telling me how they can develop me and the player that I can truly be. They said my potential is really high and they see me at a high spot in their program.”
Clemson
“Their new assistant coach [Sydni Means], I’ve been talking to her for a long time now. She used to be at Tulsa, so we have a good relationship. She already knows what I’m about and knows that I’m one of the top players in 2025. They see a lot of potential. I can just come in and play my game – that’s how they see me.”
Colorado
“One of their assistant coaches, I’ve talked to her for a long time. She knows how I’ve developed and how important I am to their organization. I really like the way she talks to me. She wants to talk to me about my future.”
Utah
“I love their head coach and their assistants. One of my teammates committed there, so I want to see what she sees in them and see if I would like to go there.”
Oklahoma State
“Hometown feels from them. I love their assistant coach, Kelby [Jones], he’s one of my favorite coaches to talk to. He’s really energetic. He communicates the best out of everybody, maybe other than Kansas State. But I really love Kelby and their whole program. They all talk to me whenever they can.”
Florida State
I like their assistant coach [Bill Ferrara]. He’s really energetic and he’s always telling me things I can get better at in the game and what he likes whenever I play. I like the feedback from him.”
Kansas State
“It’s been amazing. They trust me. Day one, from the jump, they know what I’m about. They love my play style. They love whenever I play hard every game. They encourage me to keep going fast.”
Georgia
“I really like their assistant coach [Nykesha Sales]. She played at UConn and she understands the pressure of trying to pick a school at this moment of my process. She isn’t trying to pressure me or rush my process.”
