Henry Parrish, Micah Pettus injury update: Broadcast updates status of Ole Miss stars vs. Kentucky
Ole Miss saw two key offensive contributors leave Saturday’s game against Kentucky with injuries. Henry Parrish and Micah Pettus both headed to the sideline, and the ABC broadcast had updates on both as the third quarter started to wind down.
Molly McGrath said the Ole Miss training staff wrapped Parrish’s left ankle, and he was planning to play the rest of the game. He returned on the third-quarter drive when the Rebels converted a 4th-and-7 to take the lead against Kentucky.
As for Pettus, he planned to come back as a key piece of the Ole Miss offensive line. However, he was walking with a noticeable limp.
“You saw running back Henry Parrish hobble off with a lower body injury,” McGrath said. “He had his left ankle heavily taped, gave teammates a thumbs-up. I’m told he is good to go.
“Right tackle Micah Pettus also injured, went into the tent. Left with a noticeable limp. I’m told he will play, but he’s moving very gingerly, guys.”
