Hawkeyes offer Florida DB Leroy Roker
After attending Iowa’s camp in June, Florida defensive back Leroy Roker was a prospect the coaching staff was definitely going to keep a close eye on this season. One week in, they decided they had already seen enough as the Hawkeyes stepped forward with a scholarship offer today less than 24 hours after Roker’s season opener.
A 6-foot-1, 170-pound athlete, Roker is also a basketball star who attended Canterbury High School in Fort Myers prior to this year. That is when he made the move to Bishop Verot to try garner more football interest, which is exactly what happened after an impressive season opener with two interceptions on defense and a 70-yard touchdown catch on offense.
Now, Roker holds scholarship offers from Iowa and South Dakota with more likely to come.
