On Sunday night the Iowa women’s basketball team punched their ticket to the Final Four in Dallas. Kyle Huesmann was in Seattle at Climate Pledge Arena covering the game and watching a historic performance from Iowa All American Caitlin Clark.
We discuss what it was like to watch the Hawkeyes bounce back from a slow start to dominate a good Louisville team. What did Clark have to say about her performance, which was an NCAA record 41 point triple double. We also talk about what this win means for the legacy of Lisa Bluder, who is closing in on 500 wins at the University of Iowa. Does this win check off a significant box in her coaching resume. Also we discuss long time assistant coach Jan Jensen coaching through tragedy after she lost her father to cancer earlier in the day.
Finally we talk a little Iowa baseball. The Hawkeyes are off to the best start in school history after sweeping Western Michigan and they have a huge series hosting Maryland coming up this weekend.
