Grayson Grinsell appears to significantly injure arm on wild pitch in relief appearance

Oregon pitcher Grayson Grinsell left the Eugene Super Regional matchup vs. Oral Roberts on Sunday evening early in the seventh inning. Grinsell injured his arm on a wild pitch and immediately went down to the ground after he threw it. The Ducks’ pitcher was in tears on the mound, before their trainer came out to the mound to pull him from the game. It was pretty clear that something was seriously wrong with his arm. Grinsell only threw nine pitches on Sunday evening, before having to exit the game.
Oregon closer Matt Dallas came in to replace him for the Ducks.
Oral Roberts has started to separate a bit from the Ducks in their Super Regional matchup. ORU currently leads Oregon 7-4 in the top of the seventh inning.
