WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Well, the team returned to the practice field yesterday, and we had all your feedback afterward with coach Mario Cristobal and players sharing their thoughts. So don’t miss all that, including what they had to say about the scrimmage that was held Saturday.
This morning be sure to check out our deep dive into the basketball transfer portal as new coach Jai Lucas is putting together an all-new roster.
Plus there’s more recruiting news for you.
A Tuesday visitor we catch up with off his UM visit is Miami (Fla.) Northwestern four-star safety and Florida State commit Tedarius Hughes. Where do the Canes stand now?
We also have another visitor update, this one with Picayune (Miss.) Picayune Memorial top-35 defensive lineman Nolan Wilson. He left his time at Miami impressed.
And visiting Tuesday as well was Huntersville (N.C.) William Amos Hough four-star 2026 cornerback Samari Matthews. Miami’s new defensive staff is helping the Canes work their way into the mix for one of the country’s top defensive backs.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

“The portal is always open, regardless of the dates that are prescribed and everybody is in the portal, everybody. That’s the reality of where we are in college football. … you adapt or you die. But that’s the reality.”
