WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
The Miami Hurricanes have a pair of prospects that are fairly high on NFL teams’ radars entering the NFL Draft that kicks off tonight. That would be DB Tyrique Stevenson and TE Will Mallory. We take a look at where they and other Miami hopefuls could go in the draft.
We then conclude our post-spring position by position in-depth breakdowns, with the defensive backs in focus.
Also be sure to check out our analysis of the Miami two-deep on offense with spring football in the rearview mirror.
In recruiting news?
We take a look back at the South Florida talent that’s gotten away … with some of it now returning via the transfer portal … and Xzavier Henderson and Jaden Davis area guys that could be coming back as transfers this cycle.
Plus Miami DL coach Jason Taylor visited an in-state school to evaluate prospects, and we have that update – it was to Boynton Beach (Fla.) Somerset Academy Canyons regarding four-star receiver Waden Charles and 2026 receiver Denairius Gray, both of whom have held Hurricane offers for several months.
There also was Sarasota (Fla.) Booker 2026 defensive lineman Kevontay Hugan landing a Miami offer Monday following defensive coordinator Lance Guidry’s visit to his school. The Hurricanes are the third Power Five program to offer the 6-foot-3, 235-pound high school freshman, joining Penn State and Maryland. He shares his take.
On top of that Miami tight ends coach Cody Woodiel offered Loganville (Ga.) Grayson 2026 EDGE Tyler Atkinson following a Monday morning visit to Georgia, becoming the 34th program to offer the 6-foot-3, 205-pound high school freshman. The Hurricanes join programs such as Georgia, LSU, Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas in the race for one of the hottest prospects in the 2026 class. Find out Atkinson’s take.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY
“I was working out – after workouts I found out I received an offer from Miami. I was excited the hard work starting to pay off. I think Miami can be a good school for me. I like the defensive scheme they run. I feel like I can fit the best in the scheme they run.”
