WHAT’S UP TODAY
First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?
Stay tuned as the team returns to Greentree Practice Field this morning for a final tune-up before tomorrow night’s Spring Game. We’ll have post-practice interviews with Mario Cristobal and key players. So stay tuned for all that.
Then there is plenty of recruiting news.
It starts with our newest Inside The Lines presentation, this one with high priority target Chance Robinson. After a breakout junior campaign, the Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas wide receiver has established himself as not only one of the top talents out of South Florida but the entire nation. With over 30 offers, the four-star wideout has nearly every major Power Five program after his services, including the Miami Hurricanes. So don’t miss that feature.
Some big news, literally? Chicago (Ill.) St. Ignatius five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott, the No. 7 overall 2024 prospect in the On300 and No. 2 defensive lineman, is visiting Miami this week and is expected to attend the Hurricanes’ spring game Friday, CaneSport has learned.
Also don’t miss our update on North Palm Beach (Fla.) The Benjamin School running back Chauncey Bowens. He made his way down to Coral Gables for the first time in 10 months for an unofficial visit during Tuesday’s practice and met with head coach Mario Cristobal and his staff. Where are things standing there now with the Gators commit?
Then we catch up with Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman 2024 four-star cornerback Josh Philostin. His first visit to Miami last month went so well, he felt he had to return for a second spring visit. Miami’s in a good spot with him.
Miami has all but ensured it will be on Houston (Tx.) Dekaney 2025 receiver Tanook Hines’ radar through the end of his recruitment … by becoming the first Power 5 program to offer him.
Following his first visit to the University of Miami this spring, Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot 2025 quarterback Carter Smith says the Miami Hurricanes have solidified themselves as one of his top programs early on.
Last but not least? Miami linebackers coach Derek Nicholson started building his bond with Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic On300 four-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng during his time at Cincinnati. So when Nicholson extended him a Miami offer as well, it wasn’t an earth-shattering surprise. Find out where things stand now.
And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

TWEETS OF THE DAY
MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY
Re Cavinder twins gone … Posted by Peerless1616
I get all of it, the NIL and the potential opportunities that await them but it’s weird to me and I’m guessing to many here who played some sport that man I did not want to give it up when it was time…. These girls have a year left that they can play at the highest level and are passing that up for something that will still be there when they’re eligibility is truly expired. Crazy days we’re seeing. Gool luck to them!!
MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY
“It’s been a dream for me to play for Miami. I’ve been keeping up with Miami for the longest. When Miami’s doing good, I’m happy.”
