WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

The transfer portal officially opens today, and we have your closer look at Miami’s needs. There are quite a few.

And, of course, there was Miami’s postseason fate announced over the weekend and we had you fully covered with that including a closer look at the opponent and coach Mario Cristobal’s thoughts plus what they were saying from the other sideline. Gary Ferman also had your mailbag Q&A, answering all your Miami Hurricanes questions. And we talk with Cam Ward’s father as the QB has indicated he is probably going to play in the bowl game.

In recruiting we catch up with signee Ezekiel Marcelin in our Inside The Lines feature you don’t want to miss. There’s also an update with Miami Central’s coach Jube Joseph talking about the pipeline between his program and the Canes … and what UM added from the school this recruiting cycle. We also talk with Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna head coach Dameon Jones for his thoughts on the Miami signees from his school.

We also had your grading the class item as well as a look at three things that went right this last cycle … and two things that didn’t. And there’s Stephen Wagner’s 2025 Miami Hurricanes Recruiting Awards you don’t want to miss.

There was your Live From The Crib feature focusing on the American Heritage game, with Miami signee Malachi Toney helping send the team to the championship matchup.

Plus be sure to check out our look at the top targets for Miami in the State of Florida in the 2026 class.

In basketball the team continued to struggle, losing by 10 in the ACC opener vs. Clemson. We had that recap and reaction for you.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

Neil Gershman – Zooba Images

“Everyone that doesn’t get in (the playoffs) feels disappointment, but we feel the onus of just doing better. The focus is to go win the next game. This is the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025, a chance to carry momentum into the off-season. It’s the most important game because it’s the next game.”
