GO Underclass Intel: 5 names for Florida Gators fans to know in Florida

Gators Online is on the road on Florida’s east coast Monday to check on some of the state’s top young talent. Here are five names Florida fans should know:

2025: Javion Hilson, Edge/DE, Cocoa (Fla.): Holds 18 offers, with Florida State and Tennessee standing out early. Florida hasn’t yet offered but stopped by his school this spring. The Gators invited Hilson to camp in June and he’s likely to attend in hopes of earning the offer. If it comes, Florida would have a chance to quickly get into the mix. He’s listed at 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds so he potentially could grow out of the edge position. Has clocked a 100-meters time of 11.2 seconds — and has a 3.8 GPA.

2025: Brandon Brown, DT, Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie: Florida and Texas are among the programs that have his attention. The Longhorns are visiting his school Monday. Former Gators defender Joe Cohen is his uncle. He’s also close with another Gator great — defensive back Marcus Maye. Brown is listed at 6-foot-2 and 275 pounds, but might be closer to 6-1. But … he’s only 15 and continues to grow. Multiple sources tell us college coaches love his film. It’s early but Florida’s in a strong spot. He’s expected to visit the Gators this summer.

The Florida Gators are a factor already with a few of these young recruits

2025: Robert Jones, ATH, Fort Pierce (Fla.) John Carroll: Jones, who could play receiver or defensive back in college, already claims multiple Power 5 offers (Auburn , Kentucky, etc.). He’s listed at 6-foot-2 and 165 pounds — and continues to grow. Florida hasn’t offered, but with the Gators likely leading for his teammate — 2025 linebacker Tarvos Alford — Jones someone who likely is on their radar.

2026: Brady Hart, QB, Cocoa (Fla.): Texas A&M, Indiana and Pittsburgh already have offered Hart, who is listed at 6-foot-4 and 185 pounds. He’ll be a first-year starter this fall for a powerful program. His coach, former UCF quarterback Ryan Schneider, thinks Hart has top-100 type potential. Should Florida get involved, it likely would become a major factor. That’s his childhood favorite — and we’re told it’s an offer he really wants.

-2026: Micah Smith, OT, Fort Pierce (Fla.) John Carroll: Per one college offensive line coach, Smith could ultimately be the top prospect in Florida for his class. He has the size (6-foot-6, 290 pounds), started as a freshman and only is improving each week, has good feet and a great wingspan — and he carries a very high GPA. Florida, Florida State, Miami and others already have offered. We’d expect his stock will only continue to rise.
