Georgia reportedly adds sharp-shooting transfer guard Justin Bailey

Mike White has added another guard via the transfer portal. Wofford guard Justin Bailey has reportedly signed with Georgia. The news was first reported by Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.

Bailey’s first three seasons of college ball were spent at Wofford. He’s coming off the lowest-scoring season of his career at 9.6 points per game. Oddly enough, it’s by far his best season from beyond the arc. Bailey hit on 45.6 percent of his attempts from downtown.

Prior to that his career best was 34.2 percent as a freshman. He averaged 10.6 points per game in his first season with the Terriers and followed that up with an 11.8 points-per-game average as a sophomore. He is also averaging over three rebounds per game over the course of his career and has made over 75 percent from the free throw line.

The 6-foot-3 185-pound South Carolina native hung double digit points on Tennessee in the opening round of the 2025 NCAA Basketball Tournament. Bailey started the game and shot four of six from the field, two of three from downtown, and scored 10 points. He also hauled in three rebounds.

White is working hard to replenish Georgia’s back court after Silas Demary entered the portal and committed to UConn. The Bulldogs also lost De’Shayne Montgomery via the portal and both Tyrin Lawrence and Dakota Leffew to exhausted eligibility. Bailey joins Jeremiah Wilkinson as UGA’s second transfer addition. Wilkinson was the ACC sixth man of the year for 2024-2025. He averaged 15.1 points per game for Cal as a freshman.
