Georgia picks up Miami safety Jaden Harris out of transfer portal

Georgia has landed its third transfer portal commitment. DawgsHQ has learned that Miami safety Jaden Harris has committed to the Bulldogs. According to On3’s Pete Nakos, he has also signed with the Bulldogs. Harris started all 13 games for Miami in 2024 and has two years to play two.

The 6-foot 195-pound defender is a Peach State product. He hails from Atlanta where he played for Georgia legend Robert Edwards at Northwood High School. Harris signed with the Hurricanes in the 2022 class as a three-star prospect per the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that includes all four websites that publish recruiting ratings.

After playing in two games and taking a redshirt in 2022, Harris played in 10 games the next season. He started two of those games and finished with seven total stops and a half tackle for loss. The 2024 season saw him break out, tallying 40 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and three pass breakups.

Georgia broke through with its first portal additions a couple of days ago. That’s when the USC duo of Zachariah Branch and Zion Branch announced their commitments to the Bulldogs. Zachariah is a wideout and return man while Branch, like Harris, is a safety.
