Georgia official visit set a ‘high bar’ with 4-star DL Kevin Wynn

Georgia made an immediate impression this weekend for Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn.

Wynn has been involved with Georgia heavily over the last few months. The No. 140 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Industry Rankings has been on campus three times for unofficial visits.

He lives 45 minutes down Highway 15, making a trip to Athens a familiar and an easy one. Even with those factors in play, Georgia was the first school up for an official visit and the Bulldogs set the bar high for Wynn.

For Wynn, connecting with the people of Georgia was the highlight of the weekend.

“The playerS and staff are like a brotherhood,” Wynn told DawgsHQ.”Being able too to connect with the players and coaches more like how the act and interact with people stood out the most.”

Georgia’s message to Kevin Wynn is a clear one

On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine has Georgia in a favorable spot for the four-star defensive lineman. The Bulldogs are one of Wynn’s top schools. Georgia has a 33.7 percent chance of landing the local four-star.

He got the message of a priority recruit this weekend. Georgia also hammered the opportunity of Wynn playing close to home in college.

“The message was that they really want me because I’m fast and twitchy and they need people like me,” Wynn said. “They also said I can bring my family and it’s 40 min from home everyone can come to the games.”

After the visit, Wynn has Georgia ‘very, very high’ on his board.

The Bulldogs already have one defensive lineman committed in the class of 2025 in three-star Stephon Shivers. Five-star Justus Terry was once committed to the Bulldogs before flipping to USC back in in March.
