Georgia offer ‘a blessing’ for top 50 prospect Michael Fasusi

With Oklahoma, Texas, Texas A&M, and Oregon among those already in the hunt, it’s safe to say that rising junior Michael Fasusi is already among the most sought-after names in the 2025 cycle.

Georgia joined the mix for the 6-foot-4, 287-pound offensive tackle last month, as well, and the opportunity from the Dawgs came as quite a surprise for the big Texan.

“The offer really came out of nowhere,” Fasusi said. “I didn’t really know or talk to any of the coaches until they offered.”

It was a Georgia support staffer who came through with the news for Fasusi, and it didn’t take long for the compliments to pile up.

“(Offensive line assistant) Coach Manrey [Saint-Amour] was the coach who offered,” Fasusi said. “He talked about my film, my size, and speed. He told me Georgia loved everything bout me.”

While the Bulldogs may have pulled a shocker in offering, it’s clearly the opportunity from the back-to-back National Champions is one he’ll be giving some serious thought to moving forward

“It was a blessing, man,” Fasusi said. “I couldn’t have been happier.”

Now, he’ll be looking for a chance to check things in the Classic City in person.

“I’m still setting up my visit schedule, but I’ll see for sure if me and my family can get up there,” Fasusi said.

Michael Fasusi ranks as the nation’s No. 47 overall prospect in the Class of 2025 per the On3 Industry Ranking. He is the No. 8 offensive tackle by the same metric.

Currently, the Oklahoma Sooners are the favorites to land his services per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, with a 25.6-percent chance. They are trailed slightly by the Aggies of Texas A&M.

Georgia holds a single commitment at offensive line in the Class of 2025 with four-star offensive tackle Micah Debose having pledged his services in January of this year.
