FSU WR commit Tawaski Abrams strongly considering Florida Gators after OV
Four-star Florida State receiver commit Tawaski Abrams said following his official visit to Florida this weekend, “I could definitely see myself here.”
That said, he’s not ready to flip his verbal.
Abrams, a standout at Fort Myers (Fla.) Dunbar, is the No. 42 receiver and No. 246 overall prospect nationally according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He committed to the ‘Noles in January but said he’s strongly considering the Gators.
“Just seeing everything, trying to figure out if Florida State is really the right deal for me,” Abrams said Sunday. “And it opened my eyes to more stuff. Florida is a real good program. .. I like Florida State but it opened my eyes like I said to more things. I’ve just got to see if that’s really for me.”
It appears to be a three-team race for Abrams. He officially visited Texas A&M last weekend and will hit FSU next weekend.

“That’ll probably be it,” Abrams said. “Those are the top three I’ll be taking OVs to.”
Abrams added he was a “good 75 (percent)” committed to FSU.
What opened his eyes in Gainesville?
“Just the connections around the world and stuff and just seeing the job opportunities outside of football,” Abrams said. “Getting to see the players — just how they communicate with the coaches and just the facilities itself. From recovery to playing on the field.”
Abrams said the Gators love his skillset. He’s known for his speed.
“Me being used a lot, getting myself on the field a lot if I come early,” Abrams said. “I’ll be a December graduate so getting to training camp and stuff — I’d adjust to the playbook already and it’d be easier for me during the season.”
A final decision should come at “the end of the summer. That’s when I’ll be done. I’ll shut everything down,” Abrams said.
