Four teams sticking out for 2025 QB Deuce Knight. The four-star has a busy 2023 on deck

2025 George County (Miss.) quarterback Deuce Knight is starting to slowly but surely narrow his scope on the recruiting trail. The summer circuit is upon us but before he camps on any college campuses, he wants to announce his top schools. Knight dropped his Top 10 earlier this spring, naming Tennessee, Notre Dame, Washington, TCU, Ole Miss, Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M, South Carolina, and Oregon as the finalists.
Knight ranks as the No. 85 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average which utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 6 quarterback and the No. 3 player in the state of Mississippi.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $179K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index which sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
Despite starting to focus on a few programs which are in his Top 10, he assures me he is no hurry.
“I really don’t have a date in mind right now,” Knight said. “The teams standing out right now are Tennessee, Ole Miss, Notre Dame and Alabama.”
The 6-foot-5, 185 pound prospect is seemingly focused on a select group and those staffs are making him feel wanted. Especially the staff in Oxford, Miss.
“Coach Kiffin is one of the best offensive minds in CFB,” Knight said. “I talk to the staff just about every day and it’s the hometown school.”

“Ole Miss is the in-state I talk to the most and I talk to those guys a lot,” Knight said. “I was on the phone with Lane Kiffin a few days ago and obviously, what Coach Kiffin does at Ole Miss … their offense is explosive and scores a lot of points, and they do a lot of great things with their quarterbacks.”
“We got to see him live when we connected in Austin (Texas) at the OT7 tournament,” said On3 scouting and rankings assistant Cody Bellaire, in a recent scout of Knight during an interview with the Ole Miss Spirit.
“The first thing you notice is off the bus. He’s a beautiful-looking kid and has the frame to add so much weight. Obviously the sexy name to throw in now as a comp off the rip is Anthony Richardson. Big-bodied. Big, strong-armed kid that’s athletic as hell. It’s the immediate comp you want to make to the guy.”
Deuce Knight earned MVP honors at the Elite 11 Oxford Regional in May.
“Coach Quincy (Avery) said I had the best rating out here so I kind of knew before,” Knight. “I felt good just coming out here and competing against the best.”
Knight ran a laser 4.53 40-yard dash and had a 41.9″ vertical. The rising junior assessed his performance and gave himself a self-scout as well.
“Lots of competition out here and a lot of talented guys,” Knight said. “I think I threw the ball well and I felt good running and in drills. Overall I think I performed well and think I showed out.”
Deuce Knight unofficially visited Ole Miss earlier this summer and got to meet the staff in more of a unique setting.
“It was a good time. Me and coach (Charlie) Weis and coach (Fisher) Ray, we did some film time and sit in on a position meeting,” Knight said. “I had a really good time not only seeing how they interact and coach their guys but also just seeing Ole Miss in general. All one-on-one so it was good.”
Knight as a sophomore last season threw for 1,929 yards and 11 touchdowns in nine games. He also rushed for 488 yards and 12 additional scores. Ole Miss is the current On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favorite at 43.3 percent. Tennessee is No. 2 at 25.5 percent. Alabama is running third at 5.9 percent.
