Livingstone recently took an official visit to Texas and was absolutely blown away by the trip.

“Phenomenal,” Livingstone said about his Austin official visit. “It’s Texas. If UT asks you to take an official visit, you say okay and do it. My family had a great time. The players were awesome, the coaches were great. It’s just a really good culture down there. You can tell the team likes being around each other.”

Livingstone has 109 career receptions for 2,078 yards and 33 touchdowns entering his senior season. Livingstone is also a star on the baseball diamond, helping the Lovejoy Leopards make a long run in the 2023 playoffs this spring. His brother is a pitcher at Texas Tech.

How he fits at Texas:

Livingstone has good hands, a pretty big frame at 6-foot-4, and looks pretty comfortable getting the ball in traffic. In fact he was injured during a playoff game against South Oak Cliff his junior season after leaving his feet to snag a dig route over the middle and landing hard. His speed is hard to discern between old track times and reported mph on his HUDL but his footwork off the line of scrimmage is good and he certainly gets down the field. He’d be an X receiver at Texas after filling out past 200 pounds who could be a target at the chains or downfield. – Ian Boyd

Coach says:

Strengths – Well-built with good frame to add. Has a track background and that speed translates to the football field with straight line speed that is well above average. Off the line and closes the cushion quickly. Film shows fairly diverse route tree to all three levels. Challenges the leverage aggressively and shows a great snap down and double move going deep. Most routes look similar at the stem and you can tell he works at route running. Tracks the ball well and adjusts well to the poorly thrown pass. Lower body explosiveness allows for him to challenge the 50-50 balls aggressively which he does. Has some wow hand-eye coordination on some highlights and looks to have nice, soft hands catching mostly away from his body. Stacks the defender consistently and shows good awareness and nose for the line to gain/end zone. Lowers pads on contact and shows good physicality. Remarkably productive stat line with 16 TDS in 43 catches. Gets physical when he needs to and will fend off the defenders’ hands aggressively. Run blocking on tape is more than you usually see from HS kids. Could show some good position versatility which is almost a given at this height and speed combination.

Areas for Improvement / Concerns: Will benefit from more coaching as a run blocker.

Livingstone is the No. 384 overall prospect, No. 65 wide receiver, and No. 63 prospect in Texas in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.

Livingstone is the ninth member of Texas’ 2024 recruiting class.
