Four-star WR Brayden Robinson believes Brian Hartline is ‘the best in the business’ at developing receivers
COLUMBUS – Four-star Red Oak (Texas) wide receiver Brayden Robinson camped at Ohio State on June 11 and he left Columbus with a scholarship offer from wide receivers coach Brian Hartline.
Being offered by the Buckeyes was a big moment for Robinson, the No. 200 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings, but the fact that the offer came from Brian Hartline made it even bigger.
“It means a lot. I know coach Hartline is the best in the business when it comes to college receivers,” Robinson told Lettermen Row. “Just to be able to learn from him and just put things in my toolbox to be the best. Just have to have the opportunity to play for one of the best coaches in the country and be at a place like this.”
The 5-foot-8 and 155-pound Robinson also enjoyed getting to meet Ohio State head coach Ryan Day.
“It’s amazing because you always see the beard on Twitter and stuff like that but now you see it in person. But with coach Day it’s the same thing, he likes my playstyle.”
Prior to the camp, Robinson and his family got an in-depth look at everything Ohio State has to offer off the field. They arrived Columbus a day early so they could tour Ohio State and Robinson felt comfortable on campus.
“I loved campus. It’s a little different from Dallas, not as crowded. The campus is very spacious. It’s a great environment.”
Robinson also loved the recent renovations to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
“It’s crazy because everything already looks new but they said they’re getting more. So if I were to come here it would be even crazier.”
As a junior, Robinson had 46 receptions for 686 yards and eight touchdowns in nine games. Robinson also averaged 30.2 yards per kickoff return and returned one kickoff for a touchdown.
Robinson is also a standout sprinter for Red Oak and had a personal best of 10.89 seconds in the 100-meter dash this spring.
