Four-star TE/DE Brock Schott enjoys Iowa visit

Four-star TE/TE Brock Schott, a Class of 2025 prospect, had a chance to make his first visit to Iowa City on Saturday. For the 6-foot-4, 210-pound Indiana native, it was a good opportunity to see the campus at the University of Iowa and continue to build his relationship with the Hawkeye coaching staff.

“We got there and hung out and chilled with the coaches,” Schott told HawkeyeReport.com. “Then we toured and did a photo shoot. I think something that really stood out was how they really pushed that everything is for the players and how much support the program has.”

Schott, who earned a scholarship offer from Iowa in early May, met with the coaches on both sides of the ball during his visit as he the ability to play tight end or defensive end in college.

“I talked with Coach Hodge, Coach Bell, and Coach Ferentz,” said Schott. “They all really like me and want to stay connected to Iowa.”

In the early stages of the recruiting process, Schott is still undecided if he would rather play offense or defense in college, so is keeping an open mind as is the Iowa coaching staff.

“I don’t really have preference, but they said it’s completely up to me,” Schott said.

Leaving Iowa City on Saturday, Schott was grateful for the opportunity to visit the Hawkeye Tailgater and will continue to keep Iowa in mind.

“After today, Iowa is definitely a school I will highly consider,” said Schott.

A four-star prospect with an On3 Industry Ranking of 90.62, Schott currently holds scholarship offers from Iowa, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Miami, Louisville, Indiana, Purdue, Minnesota, Rutgers, Cincinnati, Toledo, Ball State, and Western Michigan.

Currently, the Class of 2025 prospect has a couple more stops on his upcoming schedule.

“For the rest of the summer, I have the TEU camp and then Wisconsin on July 29th and Notre Dame on the 30th,” Schott said.
