Four-Star DL Kendall Jackson commits to Florida
Four-star defensive lineman Kendall Jackson of Gainesville (FL) F.W. Buchholz announced his commitment to Florida Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-4, 260 pounder chose the Gators over Arkansas, Miami, and Kentucky.
Jackson on why he chose Florida
“First, the relationship I have with the coaching staff was a major part but also the level of people that they’re bringing in played a role too. A bunch of great athletes I would love to play with. I feel like Coach Peterson is going to develop right and get me closer to where I want to be and that’s to where a golden jacket after my NFL career. I really respect Coach Napier and the staff because of the way they value me. When Coach Nape told me and my family that he thinks I’m an underrated player I took that to heart and felt like that’s a Coach who has my best interest.”
Relationship with coaching staff + their plan for him
“My relationship with the coaching staff is great! My closest relationship on the staff is with Coach Peterson. I can talk to Coach P about anything outside of football. They plan on using me at the F or Jack position.”
Jackson ranks as the No. 369 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 31 defensive lineman and the No. 51 player in the state of Florida.
The Sunshine State defensive lineman joins coach Billy Napier and the Gators’ top 3 class in the 2024 team rankings. He is accompanied by five-star quarterback DJ Lagway, five-star safety Xavier Filsaime, and others.
