Four-star DB Jorden Edmonds details relationship with Vols’, ready to see more of Tennessee

Marietta, Ga.— Four-star 2026 defensive back Jorden Edmonds is one of the top defensive back prospects in the cycle, and Tennessee is one of the schools currently recruiting him the hardest.

“I would say they are making me feel like a priority for sure,” Edmonds told Volquest of the way Tennessee has recruited him. “That was one of my early offers, and I am always talking to them. That is one of my biggest things in recruiting is building relationships.”

Edmonds and his mother were both able to spend time with the Tennessee staff during the January contact period, and this was something that was important for the four-star standout prospect.

“I would say that she is a real question asker,” Edmonds said of what is mom is able to take away from those visits with Tennessee. “So she asks things that I wouldn’t even think about. She writes things down, so she is going to be able to get the answers and information from all of those visits.”

Edmonds has built a strong relationship with Willie Martinez and Tim Banks since Tennessee has been recruiting him, as the Vols have been one of the schools recruiting him to play multiple positions in the secondary.

“We have got a good relationship,” Edmonds said. “I actually first met him (Martinez) when I went up there, and I have got to get back up there again. I would say that is great to even have that opportunity to play either position.”

Edmonds’ has built a nice relationship with Josh Heupel as well.

“I would say, him and Coach Willie, they are quiet, well, not quiet, but they know when to have energy,” Edmonds said of this. “The energy is real. I can tell when the energy seems real, and it is real with him.”
