Four-star 2026 OL Max Riley looking at a few fall game visits
Avon Lake (Ohio) High On300 offensive lineman Max Riley is one of the Midwest’s most sought-after prospects in the 2026 class.
And the blue-chip Riley has a few fall trips in mind.
“I’m planning on game day visits to Clemson, Ohio State, and Michigan State,” Riley told On3. “Also tentatively deciding on Alabama and Mizzou.
“Still working those out but I’ll make it to those three schools and then if there are dates that work the other two as well.”
The 6-foot-5, 280-pound Riley was at Clemson in June and was offered that month.
“I’d say the culture stands out to me,” Riley said. “I also really like how Coach (Matt) Luke does things. He has year in and year out put his players into the NFL.”
Ohio State was on Riley early.
“They’ve been recruiting me for over a year so I have good relationships with the staff,” Riley said. “It’s very close to home as well.
“I have really good relationships with the staff including Coach (Justin) Frye, Coach (Chip) Kelly and Coach (Ryan) Day. They’re all great people.”
Riley likes the direction of the Michigan State program under first-year head coach Jonathan Smith.
“I think Coach Smith is going to build a winning program,” Riley said. “I have great relationship with Coach M (Jim Michalczik) as well and he has a great history of development.”
The On3 Industry ranks Riley as the nation’s No. 5 interior offensive lineman and No. 56 prospect overall. He is the No. 2 player in Ohio.
