Former Cats react to La Familia’s win over The Ville
It was an all-time night at Freedom Hall, La Familia doing to The Ville what the Cats always do to the Cards. Players on the team were a combined 17-2 against Louisville during their time at Kentucky, and now, they added another big-time win to that total in The Basketball Tournament.
In front of a record-breaking crowd that cleared the previous TBT record by over 6,000, the former Cats of La Familia defeated the former Cards by a final score of 70-61. Nate Sestina led all scorers with 22 points and six made threes, followed by Willie Cauley-Stein with 20 and Andrew Harrison with 11 — plus the game-winner from three to close out the Elam Ending.
As Sestina caught fire and emotions ran red-hot, past Wildcats took to social media to soak in yet another win over Louisville. Whether they come at Rupp Arena, the Yum! Center or Freedom Hall, they all feel pretty darn good. This one was no exception.
